 Our Private training program is designed for dogs that are upset by other dogs, often called reactive dogs, as well as dogs that are fearful, undersocialized or ones that need help with impulse control.  This program focuses on reducing reactivity, building confidence and teaching life skills for successful neighborhood walking. 

Private Training Session are designed by a CPDT-KA certified dog trainer. This package will include email check-ins between training sessions, and support through the homework. If you are unable to attend, videos of your dog completing tasks will be included. 

The option to upgrade your session to include an additional training assistant and dog is recommended for those in Guelph and the surrounding cities that are looking to work on dog specific triggers. $20.00 upgrade fee for Training assistant and Alumni dog 

Our Online Behaviour training program is designed for complex behaviour problems with clients looking to complete their sessions over the phone or video conference. Email support is available between booked sessions. This program is for dogs that are upset by other dogs, often called reactive dogs, as well as dogs that are fearful, undersocialized or ones that need help with impulse control, separation anxiety, nuisance barking and stereotypic behaviour.  This program focuses on reducing reactivity, building confidence and teaching life skills helping dogs learn how to thrive in their environment. 

Behaviour Training Session are designed by a CPDT-KA certified dog trainer. This session will include email check-ins between training sessions, an initial assessment, training plan  and resources as well as support through the homework.  

We recommend starting with training sessions booked in once a week for the first few sessions then moving to more spread out sessions.

 This type of training is for dogs that have mild to moderate obedience or behaviour issues that respond well to reinforcers such as toys, treats, and praise. This program teaches basic to advanced obedience through daytime training walks. Upon graduation, dogs that are eligible for the Alumni Walk Program where they help teach reactive or fearful dogs and generalize/distraction proof their own training.

With this type of service, training is completed by experienced staff under the guidance and supervision of a certified trainer. Communication between trainer and assistant is shared through email updates and videos. Staff will only start with a dog after a 1-2week hand off with the head trainer to go over the dog's specific triggers. 

With these walks you’ll also be given video updates of milestones/ new games played that show your pups progress and explain the training and written updates of each session. Once your dog has graduated they can qualify for Alumni training walks or adventures.

Friday April 19th- Friday May 24th

Class A 5:15-6:15, Class B 6:30-7:30

$450 + HST for class. This includes a treat pouch and clicker, as well as a FREE 15 min Meet and Greet at the Facility to make sure it's the right fit for each team.

We are hoping to fill both classes but may condense the classes to increase the class size to our goal of 2-4 per class.

What you will learn as a TEAM

1. How to read and recognize your dog's body language and what that means
2. How to safely and systematically desensitize to triggers
3. How to proactively assess your dog's comfort level and adjust management to stay under threshold
4. Identify reinforcers and triggers for a more cohesive training session
5. Practice drills and games that will help you avoid and get out of sticky situations in the real world
6. Safety tips on how to manage your dog when others won’t listen (dogs and humans)

1. All teams that struggle with barking caused by reactivity or fear
2. Teams looking to take their reactivity training to the next level, proofing the behaviour
3. Teams looking to practise drills to use in the real world to keep both themselves and their dog safe
4. Teams looking to build a good training foundation using predictable games and routines to foster trust and predictability

 This type of training is for dogs that have  graduated from our program and have responded well to reinforcers such as toys, treats, and praise. This program reinforces basic to advanced obedience and behaviour training through daytime training walks. The Alumni Walk Program allows dogs to help teach other reactive or fearful dogs through desensitization at a distance. This training allows the Alumni to generalize all the training they have learned and build their skills in new and exciting places.

 Our innovative daytime school program that offers positive reinforcement training for dogs looking to proof their training skills, practice play with other canines in a safe environment and those working towards their Canine Good Neighbor Certificates. We work with your dog to set them up for success and to help them achieve your training goals.

In Our Daytime School Program we create a customized program that can include:

- Working through a specialized curriculum to meet both you and your dogs needs.

- Daytime excursions to generalize training to real life situations/ encounters

- Decompression rest to decrease stacking and build their ability to relax

- Put desired behaviours on cue or auto cue

- Playtime with staff to reinforce good behaviour and to provide an outlet for energy while building a solid training foundation with impulse control

- Daily photo or report card

Pick up and drop off any time between 8am and 12:15pm Wednesday and Friday, Tuesday and Thursday Pick up and drop off any time between 8am and 4:15pm. Mondays will become available again in May from 8am-2pm. Canine taxi available for dogs in Guelph on a first come first served basis with added $10 fee each way.
